ABOUT

In the early 1980’s Pervaneh moved to Yorkshire England, where she continued to paint and teach. Commissioned by Wakefield District Council, some of her work now hangs in Wakefield City Town Hall. Returning to Dublin in the mid 1990’s Pervaneh recommenced painting and teaching. She now holds art classes in both Taney Parish Centre, Dundrum, and at Jin’s Art Studio in Rathfarnham.
She has sold works through James Adams, Morgan O Driscoll and Mullens Laurel Park Fine Art auction houses. Her work has been shown in various galleries, including Combridges of South William Street, Kennedys of Harcourt Street, and at present in Balla Bán gallery , Westbury Mall, Grafton Street. She exhibits regularly at The Peoples Art exhibtion, Stephens Green.
“Watercolours are primarily utilised by artists in a translucent manner. However, contrary to this, Pervaneh uses watercolour to create a depth in her paintings that is not normally associated with this medium. From her earliest years as an artist, Pervaneh has retained a distinctive method and style, specialising in monochrome painting using the colour sepia.
A further innovative step developed by Pervaneh is the use of superior line board in place of watercolour paper. This enhances the three dimensional effect of her work.”
